COTTBUS BOAT

This is the design for the central building on the river in the Cottbus masterplan. The boat-building serves as the icon of the growth of the touristic and local value of the entire area on the Spree rivier. This expressive and symbolic form is entirely focused on the river and the green. The building evokes references to a ship in the rough sea. The sloping wooden facade creates an intimate atmosphere where people can enjoy nature at the edge of the city.
